In Kuala Lumpur.

Yesterday was my first work day back after almost 3 weeks of holiday. There’s always a little reorientation after any such longer period of time away, but this time felt much smoother than previous ones.

It felt nice to get back to largely catching up on things but also jumping straight into our bi-weekly team meetings. Being a distributed team and company, and having it bi-weekly instead of weekly means that each of those interactions across the year is always a really great time to catch up and have fun with the team.

I think i’m also really lucky with my colleagues not only being really funny and super smart people but also accommodating of my jokes and random tangents. Mind you, i’d never tell them that but i have to acknowledge that at least.

My current route for the next little while is set and it’s going to be Berlin to see some friends, Stockholm to sort out some long-standing affairs there, and then back to Spain.

I bought a new Sony A6700 camera to go along with my trusty and long-standing Ricoh GRIII. While the accompanying lens is the decent Sony 16–50 mm F3.5–5.6 OSS II, i’ll likely be picking up a new lens elsewhere but for now i’m interested in running it through its paces in my last days here in Malaysia.
