I came across Macapp Supply, a website that describes itself as A curated shelf of beautifully designed macOS apps.
Honestly, they’re not wrong. There are some really gorgeous apps on there, and as someone who always appreciates a well designed apps, this has been really fun to deep dive into. Though it must be said, some of these do also seem less like the app itself os well designed and more that they also have a really well designed site.
Take Supaste as an example. Really gorgeous website, but the design of the app doesn’t seem to be any different than any of the other 200 or so notch-based apps out there. Having said that, i will always take the opportunity to browse a really well designed website as well.
There is however a list of guidelines for apps to get listed, from the creator Solt Wagner.
There are some well-known examples on there, from the likes of Codex to Notion Calendar but there’s also plenty of other interesting apps and sites. I was really happy to see that one of my most recently loved apps, Resurf, is listed on it. I’d wholeheartedly agree that it deserves its spot on there.
